Butte City Courts

  • Levi Piper, 23, of 310 Granite Mountain Road, pleaded guilty Sept. 2 to disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, and was fined $740. According to court documents, Piper was using threatening language and punched walls at a residence on East Copper.
  • Paul Himes, 35, transient, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. According to court documents, Himes was using threatening language on the corner of Dewey and Harrison, and threatened to use physical force or violence against a police officer. Himes was fined $555 and received a 10-day jail sentence. He also received a 20-day jail sentence. On Oct. 5, Himes was again fined $185 for disorderly conduct. According to court documents, Himes created a hazardous or physically offensive condition that served no legitimate purpose on the 2700 block of Harrison Avenue.
  • Hank Devereaux, 39, of 25 E. Granite, pleaded guilty Sept. 10 to operating a vehicle with a revoked driver's license and speeding. Devereaux was fined $610.
  • Andrew Schroeder, 23, of 3 W. Second, pleaded guilty Sept. 3 to criminal mischief and criminal destruction or tampering with a communication device. Schroeder was fined $555 and must make restitution. According to court documents, he purposely damaged a window belonging to another and tampered with a communication device by interrupting its use.
  • Shelley Windsor, 52, of Anaconda, was fined $200 Oct. 19 for speeding in a school zone.
  • Rolf Peterson, 51, of 1813 Gaylord, pleaded guilty Nov. 17 to misdemeanor theft (second offense) and three counts of criminal trespass to vehicles. According to court documents, Peterson siphoned gas from four vehicles on the 900 block of South Montana. He was fined $3,315, and received a five-day jail sentence.
  • William Daniels, 32, of 1125 S. Main, pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to criminal trespass to property and was fined $555. According to court documents, Daniels entered and remained on public housing property after being placed on the Public Housing Authority Exclusion List. Daniels again pleaded guilty Nov. 9 to two counts of misdemeanor theft and was fined $1,110 and received a five-day jail sentence. According to court documents, Daniels took two televisions from the Front Street Laundromat, and two Apple iPods, a Tom Tom GPS unit, and a middle console cooler from a Harrison Avenue business. Also on Nov. 9, he pleaded guilty to another count of misdemeanor theft and was fined $1,095. According to court documents, Daniels took a camera belonging to another person at the Rosalie Manor. He also received a one-year suspended jail sentence.

PARTNER OR FAMILY MEMBER ASSAULT

  • On Nov. 9, a six-month deferred sentence was handed down to Levi Queer, 30, of 1050 Schley. Queer was charged May 7 with partner assault and tampering with a communication device, a telephone. He admitted grabbing a female partner by the neck, chest and leg, and banging her head off a cabinet. According to court documents, the court's decision was made because circumstances of the case suggest the defendant will not engage in further criminal conduct with the victim.
  • Moises Huerta, 54, of 2526 Pine, pleaded guilty Nov. 4 to partner assault and violation of a protection order. According to court documents, Huerta hit his partner in the face and head several times. He was fined $1,650 and must donate $50 to Family Victims and attend anger management class. He also received a seven-day jail sentence.
  • Austin Brisbo, 35, 1912 "C" St., pleaded guilty Nov. 2 and was fined $1,095. According to court documents, Brisbo knocked his partner off her stool. He received a seven-day jail sentence, and must donate $50 to Family Victims and attend anger management class.
  • Steven Dowland, 60, of 2021 Carolina, pleaded guilty Nov. 13 and was fined $1,095. According to court documents, Dowland caused reasonable apprehension of bodily injury to his partner. He received a seven-day jail sentence, and must donate $50 to Family Victims and attend anger management class.
  • Jess Baker, 40, of 1929 Thornton, pleaded guilty Oct. 19 and was fined $1,095. According to court documents, Baker caused bodily injury to a female partner. He received a seven-day jail sentence, and must donate $50 to Family Victims and attend anger management class.
