Just one week after Pearl Jam played the Adams Center, another iconic ’90s band is coming to Missoula with a surprise show on Sunday, Oct. 7. The Smashing Pumpkins chose the Garden City for an impromptu concert at the Wilma Theatre, with tickets on sale now.
Doors for the show open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8. Tickets are available now by calling (877) 4-FLY-TIX and online at ticketfly.com and at Rockin Rudy’s.
Tickets are $37 general admission and $40 the day of the show.
The Pumpkins, led by Billy Corgan, have created an acclaimed discography of alternative rock that’s equal parts melody and heavy metal-inspired riffing. They’ve sold more than 30 million albums, and won multiple Grammy awards in the process. Formed in Chicago in 1988, they released “Gish,” their influential platinum debut in 1991, which was followed by albums including the nine-time platinum “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” and the four-time platinum “Siamese Dream,” as well as the platinum “Adore.” The group’s many hits defined the alternative music era.
