Big Sky Rep and Head-frame Spirits Distillery are teaming up to present a weekend of burlesque and vaudeville at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, July 19-21, above the distillery at 23 S. Montana St.

Artistic director Andree O’Shea said the shows feature a host of local performers.

“Let’s keep business in Butte,” said O’Shea. “No need to import actors and singers when you have amazing talent right here.”

She said burlesque-vaudeville shows are a major part of Butte’s history. That’s because Butte was the main stopping point on the vaudeville circuit between Minneapolis and Seattle in the early part of this century.

“The people of Butte love hilarious vaudeville entertainment, especially in the summer,” O’Shea said. “It is great to go out to places like Virginia City and Philipsburg, but it is also nice to know it is right here in Butte where it belongs, for both tourists and locals to enjoy.”

Tickets are $15 each and are sold at the distillery. Seating is limited. For details, call Headframe Spirits at (406) 299-2886.
