The madcap production featuring the reunion of “Darryl and my other brother Darryl” actors Tony Papenfuss and John Voldstad, from the original “Newhart” TV show, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in the Copper King Ballroom.

The setting is a hunting cabin, and the show features humorous songs about beer, bingo players and coupon clippers — with plenty of male bonding humor and a number that loosely resembles not-so-firm abs of the Chippendales.

“Deer Camp” was written several years ago by Minnesotan Gene Jurek. Jurek’s friend, Doug Spartz, wrote the humorous music for the play. The show features a dozen numbers by Spartz, including “We Sang Too Much Again Last Night,” “Coupon Clippin’ Ladies” and “Grunt Horn Song.”

With Montana’s general rifle season set to open Oct. 20, “Deer Camp” sets the scene for local hunters. Tickets are $20 in advance and $24 at the door. Group discounts are also available. Credit card ticket sales may be purchased by calling the Copper King at 221-7070.

Attendees are also urged to come dressed in hunting attire, headgear, orange vests or camouflage.
