Pre-Super Bowl party — The Jim Peltomaa Pre-Super Bowl Party, hosted by Mining City Little Guy Football, is Friday, Jan. 26, at the McQueen Athletic Club. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25, and proceeds directly benefit Little Guy Football. A silent auction and appetizers are planned, and $20 bottomless memorial glasses will be sold. Supporters are invited to buy a $20 square on the 100-square board, with the proceeds to be split 50-50 by the winner and the football program. Also, people will have a chance to win a 50-inch TV. Butte Bull Bash  — The two-day event will begin at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Jan. 26-27, at the Butte Civic Center, 1340 Harrison Ave. Doors open at 6. Premier reserved tickets are $25 or $45 for the two-day event. Reserved tickets are $20 or $35 for two days. General admission tickets are $15, and children six to 14 pay $10. Tickets are on sale at the Civic Center box office.

Gala to benefit carousel — The Spirit of Columbia Gardens Gala will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Quality Inn (formerly War Bonnet Inn), 2100 Cornell. Doors open at 5 p.m. This year’s theme is "Circus." A buffet meal will be served, and a special commemorative glass can be purchased. In addition, there will be a live, silent, and dessert auction. Tickets are $50 per person, or sponsorship tables ($600) and premier tables ($900) are also available. Both seat eight people. Music will be by Andy Larson and there will also be a magician. Dance at the Anaconda Elks — The John Fox Sound will play for a dance from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Anaconda Elks Lodge. Dance to music from big band, polka, swing, Latin and waltzes. Admission is $10.

Annual drag and variety show — Butte AIDS Support Services presents its annual drag and variety show, “Open Hands, Open Hearts,” Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Mother Lode Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8. Tickets for the popular event are $20; students with ID, $10. 

Snowshoe on Super Bowl Sunday — Snowshoe to the Super Bowl at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Jerry Creek Bridge fishing access. The event is sponsored by the Dewey Athletic Club (Dewey Bar). The trek is 4½ miles, and includes chili and a bonfire at the half-way point. Drawings and awards for best dressed football outfit will be given. There is no charge to participate. Brewfest, chili cook-off in the works — The Philipsburg Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Philipsburg Brewfest from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Philipsburg Town Hall. Sample Montana's finest microbrews, with 16 Montana breweries participating. The cost is $20 for a glass and three tickets. Subsequent tickets are $2 each or six tickets for $10. The following day, Sunday, Feb. 18, the annual chili cook-off commences from noon to 6 p.m. For entry details, call 406-859-4367. All proceeds will go toward Youth Hockey.

‘Winter Fest’ breakfast Feb. 18 — The Whitehall Senior Citizens will host a “Winter Fest” breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at 3 N. Division in Whitehall. The event is a fundraiser and donations will be accepted. There will also be a silent auction. Details: 406-498-5534.

GOBSMACKED! at MLT —  Featuring the reigning world-champion beat boxer, Ball-Zee, and an international cast of world-class vocalists, GOBSMACKED! comes to the Mother Lode Theatre at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27.  All seats are general admission. Tickets are $35 and may be purchased at the Mother Lode box office or by calling 406-723-3602.

Irish duo in Anaconda, Butte — The Black Donnellys will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Washoe Theatre in Anaconda. In Butte, they will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, in the Montana Tech Library Auditorium. Proceeds go to Youth Empowerment Services in Anaconda and the Butte Emergency Food Bank. Tickets are $20 at the door, $15 in advance, or $5 with student ID. Tickets are available at the food bank, Insty Prints, or Montana Tech’s Activities Department in the Student Union Building. Rockin’ Road to Dublin — Rockin' Road to Dublin, the new sensation changing the Irish Dance world, is coming to the Mother Lode Theatre at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 11. A fusion of rock and Irish, Rockin' Road combines the best of both worlds to thrust Irish dance back into the spotlight.
