Snowshoe event on Super Bowl Sunday — Snowshoe to the Super Bowl at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Jerry Creek Bridge fishing access. The event is sponsored by the Dewey Athletic Club (also known as the Dewey Bar). The trek is 4-½ miles, and includes chili and a bonfire at the half-way point. St. James to hold bingo fundraiser — Bingo will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at St. Ann’s Parish. Proceeds will go to St. James Auxiliary Club. Money raised will be going to scholarships for medical background students. There will be 12 regular games of bingo and three special games. The evening includes prizes, cash prizes, 50/50 tickets. Snacks, water, and pop will be available.
Central parents host Bingo Night — The Mini Maroon Parent Club will host the sixth annual Mini Maroon Parent Club Bingo Night at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the Maroon Activities Center, 550 E. Mercury St. Doors open at 6 p.m. Come enjoy a night full of fun, games, and great prizes. With your $5 donation, you will receive a pack of seven games and you get three cards for every game, a total of 21 cards. The concession stand will be open and a cash bar for drinks. Proceeds go toward classroom supplies and special program items needed at Butte Central preschool, elementary, junior high, high school, and Noah’s Ark Day Care. You must be 21 to play. Bingo for Meat at Butte Elks — The Butte Xi Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will host its annual bingo night, “Meet for Bingo, Bingo for Meat,” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Butte Elks Lodge, Montana and Galena. Three bingo cards are $5. Proceeds go to Albert’s Angel Fund, Camp Mak-A-Dream and the Intermountain Children's Home. Brewfest, chili cook-off in the works — The Philipsburg Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Philipsburg Brewfest from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Philipsburg Town Hall. Come sample Montana's finest microbrews, with 16 Montana breweries participating. The cost is $20 for a glass and three tickets. Subsequent tickets are $2 each or six tickets for $10. The following day, Sunday, Feb. 18, the annual chili cook-off commences from noon to 6 p.m. For entry details, call 406-859-4367. Name That Tune at Country Club — The Butte Education Foundation will host “Name That Tune" from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Butte Country Club. Teams of three will compete, this time in a “name that tune” format. Admission is $35 per person or $300 for a team. Appetizers are included, and bottomless beer glasses will be available for $15. Mother Lode presents GOBSMACKED! — Direct from sell-out seasons in Europe, comes a mind-blowing vocal show that redefines the human voice. Featuring the reigning world-champion beatboxer, Ball-Zee, and an international cast of world-class vocalists, GOBSMACKED! will be coming to the Mother Lode Theatre at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27. The performance weaves stories through all forms of a cappella from traditional street corner harmonies to cutting-edge, multi-track live looping. Irish duo to perform in Anaconda, Butte — The Black Donnellys will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Washoe Theatre in Anaconda. In Butte, they will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, in the Montana Tech Library Auditorium. All proceeds go to Youth Empowerment Services in Anaconda and the Butte Food Bank.
