Concert set in Deer Lodge — The Bar J Wranglers of Jackson Hole, Wyo., will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at the Rialto Theater in Deer Lodge. Tickets are $20. Profits go to the Rialto. Church hosts Kids Night Out — Kids Night Out will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at the First Presbyterian Church, Excelsior and Platinum. KC breakfast set for Sunday — The Butte Knights of Columbus Butte Council 668 is holding its monthly fundraiser breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Jan. 14, at the hall, 224 W. Park St. Proceeds from this month’s breakfast will go to the New Hope Pregnancy Clinic. The buffet includes French toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, eggs, coffee, and juice. Philipsburg hockey tournament — The Brewer’s Cup will be Friday-Sunday, Jan. 19-21, at Winninghoff Park in Philipsburg. The free event, which begins at 6 p.m. Friday and Sunday, and 8 a.m. Saturday, is sponsored by the Philipsburg Chamber of Commerce. It promises to be three days of great hockey playing and great fun watching, too.
‘On Golden Pond’ performed on Butte stage — The Montana Repertory Theatre will present “On Golden Pond” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Mother Lode Theatre. Considered an American classic, On Golden Pond has endured because it deals with a family in crisis in a humane, poetic, and often very funny way. It is this dynamic, this finding of family and the love therein is an American treasure. Tickets are currently on sale at the box office or call 406-723-3602.
Pre-Super Bowl party planned — The Jim Peltomaa Pre-Super Bowl Party, hosted by Mining City Little Guy Football, is Friday, Jan. 26, at the McQueen Athletic Club. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25, and proceeds directly benefit Little Guy Football. A silent auction and appetizers are planned, and $20 bottomless memorial glasses will be sold. Supporters are invited to buy a $20 square on the 100-square board, with the proceeds to be split 50-50 by the winner and the football program. Also, people will have a chance to win a 50-inch TV. Butte Bull Bash coming to Butte — The two-day event will begin at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Jan. 26-27, at the Butte Civic Center, 1340 Harrison Ave. Doors open at 6. Premier reserved tickets are $25 or $45 for the two-day event. Reserved tickets are $20 or $35 for two days. General admission tickets are $15, and children six to 14 pay $10. Tickets are now on sale at the Civic Center box office.
