A vehicle landed on its top on Interstate 15 between Boulder and Basin in a single-car crash at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver was headed northbound on Interstate 15 when she ran off the road, hit the guardrail, over-corrected, and ran off the right side of the road, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Brandon Uhl said. The driver struck a barbed wire fence and overturned, landing upside down.

The driver sustained injuries and was transported to St. Peter's Hospital in Helena. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to Uhl.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, Uhl said.

No one else was involved.
