Possession of dangerous drugs
- Police arrested Timothy Atkins, 39, of Butte, at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at Walmart, 3901 Harrison Ave., for a felony charge of possession of dangerous drugs and four misdemeanors: criminal contempt, criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting.
Walmart personnel called law enforcement after recognizing Atkins inside the store because it has a no trespassing order against him for previous shoplifting, according to police. When officers arrived, they found him in the men’s section with items concealed under his coat and a needle with fluid in it. Officers also found that Atkins had a criminal contempt warrant out for his arrest.
- Police arrested Alan Kibler, 32, of Butte, at about 10:30 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of South Dakota Street on a felony charge of possession of dangerous drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were assisting probation and parole officers in Kibler's residence and found a bong, glass pipes and a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.
