Man on bicycle methodically steals shower stall
Police say a man riding a bicycle early Monday morning stole a shower stall from the yard of a property management company in a theft that took nearly two hours to complete.
The man came across the shower stall around 12:15 a.m. as he was riding his bike near the 1800 block of Harrison Avenue. According to police, video footage from the property management company shows the man getting off the bicycle, at which point he begins to drag the stall toward a nearby alley. Around 2 a.m., police said, the man reaches the alley and disappears from view. Police have not yet identified the man in the video.
Possession with intent to sell
Police say they have taken Lawrence Earl Sweet, 60, of Butte into custody for crimes he allegedly committed in May.
During the May incident, police said, they were assisting parole officers in a search of Sweet’s home, where they allegedly discovered methamphetamine and paraphernalia commonly used in the sale of drugs, including scales. Sweet currently faces two felony charges of drug possession with intent to sell and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
'High gravity' lager stolen
Officers responded around 1 p.m. Wednesday to a gas station on Grizzly Trail in Rocker after an employee phoned police. The employee said a woman had taken a can of “high gravity” lager, a type of high-alcohol-content beer, without paying.
