Officers responded to a home on the 10 block of Jackson Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday after two residents phoned police and said that their roommate was intoxicated and had allegedly threatened to kill them.
When officers arrived, police said, they observed that the man, John Edward Emeigh, 62, of Butte was sitting in a snowbank along the street. Officers arrested the man, police said, because the two complainants said they were afraid of him. Officers also discovered that Emeigh had a felony warrant out for his arrest from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The man arrested was not KXLF reporter John Emeigh.
Police arrested Melinda Hollow, 39, of Butte after officers allegedly found a small baggie of marijuana in her possession early Wednesday morning.
Police said they responded to the 1500 block of Elm Street around 1:30 a.m. in response to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the vehicle parked with two occupants inside, police said, who they later identified as Hollow and Michael Deshazo, 26, of Butte.
Both occupants had contempt warrants out for their arrest and were apprehended. As police arrested Hollow, they allegedly discovered the baggie of marijuana.
