DUI WITH KIDS IN CAR
Police on Saturday arrested Steven Dayhuff, 51, of Butte on three felony charges of criminal endangerment and one misdemeanor charge of DUI refusal.
Police stopped Dayhuff at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 15-90 between Harrison and Montana because they said he was driving erratically and turning his headlights on and off. Police suspected alcohol was involved. Dayhuff had three girls, ages 2, 9, and 12, as passengers, according to police. Dayhuff allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer test. The juveniles were handed over to a relative at the scene.
HIT WITH BEER BOTTLE
Joseph Feltz, 39, of Anaconda was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Friday on a misdemeanor charge of partner-family member assault with a weapon. Police responding to a call on the 600 block of West Granite Street found a female with a nosebleed. She told police her boyfriend had hit her with a beer bottle during an argument, police said. The female was transported to St. James Healthcare. Feltz, who had left the scene before officers arrived, was stopped on Interstate 15-90 en route to Anaconda.
Police arrested Aireanna Bowen, 19, of Butte on a misdemeanor charge of simple assault at about 1 a.m. Sunday outside the Irish Times Bar, 2 E. Galena St. Police reported that Bowen assaulted a woman in the dance area inside the bar and then fled. Police found her at Galena and Montana Streets.
Police arrested a 13-year-old female at about 12:40 p.m. Saturday at the Acadia Montana Treatment Center, 55 Basin Creek Rd., on a charge of misdemeanor simple assault. Details were not available.
Police said they found Herbert Shannon, 56, of Butte screaming on the first block of West Granite Street at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. A warrant for a charge of misdemeanor simple assault prompted police to arrest him. The prior incident took place on October 20, when Shannon assaulted a man.
HE WON'T GO
Police said they saw Dion Curtis, 34, of Butte knocking empty beer bottles off tables outside the Party Palace, 1 W. Park St., at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday. When police asked him to leave, he refused, according to police. He was booked on a misdemeanor charge of failure to disperse and for a warrant out of Helena City Court.
Antonio Huerta, 19, of Butte was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday outside the Irish Times Bar, 2 E. Galena St., after he destroyed several items inside the men’s restroom, police said. He was booked on a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief and a misdemeanor criminal contempt warrant for failure to appear in Butte City Court.
TWO FOR ONE
Police recently went to the residence of Tiela Lochrie, 24, of Butte on the 3300 block of Carter Street to serve civil papers. Because she had a criminal contempt warrant out of Butte Justice Court, the officers also arrested her.
Police stopped Kolby Paddock, 19, of Butte Friday afternoon on Harrison Avenue because he was driving with an expired registration sticker. Police booked him for no license plates and no liability insurance in effect because he had three prior offenses of failing to register a vehicle.
Police arrested Michael Nickerson, 24, of Butte at about 4 p.m. Saturday on Harrison Avenue on a misdemeanor criminal contempt charge. Police noticed Nickerson because he and a female were arguing as they walked down the street.
