When officers arrived, police said, they spoke with a woman and her 21-year-old-daughter, who said that Adam Hill, 41, had come to the residence intoxicated and began arguing with the female victim.

According to police, Hill allegedly punched the victim on the side of the head and attempted to kick down a door leading to the daughter’s bedroom. When they arrived, police said, they could observe a lump on the side of the woman’s head.

Hill was arrested at the scene and was taken to county jail. He currently faces misdemeanor assault charges.

Police responded to the 400 block on Two Bit Lane Monday night, when someone living at the home called to report the items missing.

Police said the thief or thieves broke a window in order to enter the garage. They believe the tools were taken sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday.
