Dangerous drugs and partner-family member assault

At 3:40 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, police responded to a report of a disturbance between a male and female at Silver Bow Homes.

In speaking with officers, the female alleged George Franklin Pelly, 53, of Butte threatened her during an argument and made her feel afraid.

Pelly was subsequently arrested for partner or family member assault.

In addition, a check revealed two warrants for Pelly, including one for a previous charge of partner or family member assault in Butte-Silver Bow.

While booking Pelly at the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center, officers discovered a glass pipe containing residue believed to be from methamphetamine.

Pelly was charged with a felony count of possession of dangerous drugs as well as misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and partner or family member assault.
