Assault with a weapon
Police arrested Linda Berger, 50, homeless, at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday at St. James Healthcare, 400 S. Clark St., for a felony count of assault with a weapon.
Police allegedly took Berger to St. James earlier for a mental evaluation but hospital staff called police back because Berger was reportedly yelling, screaming and running around the hospital. She took a pair of scissors from the emergency room counter and when a security guard grabbed her to take control of the situation, she stabbed him in the arm, according to police.
Police said the injury to the security guard was minor.
Possession of dangerous drugs
Police arrested Ricky Soto, 28, of Butte, at about 1:45 p.m. Friday at the Town Pump, 1370 Harrison Ave., for a felony count of possession of dangerous drugs, a probation violation and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Probation and parole allegedly found Soto, who is a client, inside the Town Pump and did a search. Police found a baggie with a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine plus syringes on him.
Possession of dangerous drugs, misdemeanors
Police arrested Jeremiah Foote, 28, of Butte, at about 10:45 a.m. Friday for a felony count of possession of dangerous drugs, and two misdemeanors: obstructing a peace officer and partner-family member assault, serious bodily injury.
Foote allegedly called police to the 3700 block of Harrison Ave. because of damage to his vehicle. Police determined the damage was from road hazards, then checked his identification and found a warrant for his arrest for the partner-family member assault and obstructing a peace officer counts from an earlier incident. Police also found two pills on Foote believed to be methamphetamine, according to police.
