A collision with a dump truck on Montana Highway 1 outside of Anaconda sent a motorist to the hospital Tuesday.
A dump truck traveling from Montana Highway 48 to head east on Montana Highway 1 at about 3 p.m. Tuesday pulled out in front of a pickup traveling east on Montana Highway 1, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Michael O’Connor said. The pickup struck the dump truck, according to O’Connor. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, O’Connor said.
The driver of the pickup received only minor injuries, but was transported to Community Hospital of Anaconda. The dump truck driver was uninjured.
O’Connor said he does not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident. The dump truck driver was cited for pulling out into the intersection.
