A small grass fire broke out north of Walkerville early Wednesday, the Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department said in a social media post.

According to the post, crews were dispatched around 1 a.m. to an area known as “Knob Hill” and concluded their firefighting efforts around 3 a.m.

The post said that it was “too dark and too big of (an) area” to determine where the fire originated and ruled out electrical as the cause. The post, which appeared on Facebook, said the Walkerville fire “is the 3rd grass fire in 2 weeks.”

Details were not available Friday.
