The driver of a dump truck rounding a corner on Montana Highway 1 between Georgetown Lake and Silver Lake was injured when his truck crashed at about 10:25 a.m. Thursday.
The dump truck was heading west on Highway 1 when the driver lost control and spun all the way around on the road, according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Thomas Gill. When the driver came to a stop, he was facing east. His truck was pulling a trailer behind him carrying an excavator. The trailer was tipped on its side.
The driver was transported by ambulance to Community Hospital of Anaconda. The crash is still under investigation.
