A pickup truck rear-ended a semi-truck while both vehicles were moving on Interstate 90 east of Cardwell at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, sending a 90-year-old male to the hospital, according to police.
The two other victims in the crash were a 68-year-old female and a 67-year-old male. All three victims were transported to Bozeman Health and are in stable condition, according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Ace Meskini.
Meskini said both vehicles were headed westbound on Interstate 90 when the pickup truck rear-ended the semi while both vehicles were moving. The driver of the pickup was cited for careless driving, Meskini said.
Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt, Meskini said. Neither speed nor drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, according to Meskini.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured and did not require a tow truck.
