Frontier volleyball: Phillips wins top honor

Montana Tech senior Collette Phillips was named most valuable player of the Frontier Conference this season.
Outside hitter Phillips averaged more than 20 kills per match during the season. Setter Becky Hancock, middle blocker Janalee Stokken-Holmes, outside hitter Marrin Audet and libero Beka Hudson also made the All-Conference team.
Phillips and Hancock were named All-Frontier first team. Senior Stokken-Holmes earned second team honors.
University of Montana-Western junior middle blocker Katherine Sunwall earned first team honors for the Bulldogs. UM-Western setter and Dillon native Lindsey Scott earned honorable mention.
Philipsburg native and Carroll College senior middle blocker Nicole Todorovich earned second team honors for her effort this season at the net.
Montana Tech and Carroll College are heading to the Northwest Regional volleyball tournament hosted by Southern Oregon.
Tournament pool play begins on Thursday.
