Southern Oregon keeps Lights winless

HAVRE (AP) — Brandon Griffith connected with running back Jacob Krizman on a 21-yard-scoring pass with 10:39 remaining Saturday to lead Southern Oregon to a 10-7 win over Montana State-Northern.
Griffith, who sat out the first half for disciplinary reasons, completed seven of 11 passes for 99 yards and the game-winning score.
Southern Oregon (3-3) took a 3-0 lead late in the second quarter on a 27-yard field goal by Ryan Baker.
Northern (0-6) answered in the third quarter as quarterback Kyle Samson broke free for a 49-yard touchdown run, putting the Lights in position for their first win of the season.
However, Griffith led the Raiders on the 11 play, 78-yard game winning drive.
Raider backup quarterback Boomer Marshall completed 19 of 38 passes for 210 yards in the first half. Samson finished with 97 yards rushing and 93 yards passing to lead Northern.
